Ease of Use
All of these grill models are easy to use. Why? Because they all have the special sloped grill plate, and the fat rolls of the meat and into the drip tray. It collects fats and grease and food particles as the food is grilling.
The tray itself is easy to clean and is dishwasher safe. The collection of fat and grease results in a 42% reduction in excess fat from uncooked meat such as a ¼ pound of uncooked ground chuck.
Grill Cleaning Tips
Since the size of the grill plate is large and may not fit in the dishwasher, we have provided some cleaning tips you can use with this grill.
- Using a paper towel, lightly brush olive oil on the plate. This helps reduce sticking of foods.
- When done grilling, place a couple of wet paper towels on the grill and cover with the lid as it is cooling. The moisture of the paper towels helps in removing any hard food particles and grease.
- Place aluminum foil on the grill that covers the entire grilling surface. Spray the foil with oil so foods won’t stick to the foil. When the grilling is done, be careful in removing the foil and toss it into the garbage. You can also use parchment paper instead of aluminum foil.
- Always clean the grill after use. Otherwise, you will have a build-up of foods on the plate that can affect how the foods are being cooked.
- Never use metal utensils on the grill as they can damage the non-stick coating.
- Use the George Foreman Grill cleaning sponge and spatula that helps in removing grease and food particles.
